Our Approach

A quality-first approach to compounding

At ACP Pharmacy, quality is not a checklist. It is a commitment that runs through every stage of the compounding process, from prescription review to patient guidance.

Prescription-based review

Every compounded preparation begins with a valid prescription from a licensed prescriber. We review the prescription for completeness and clinical appropriateness before proceeding. We do not prepare compounded medications without a valid prescription.

Controlled preparation workflow

Our preparation process follows established pharmacy compounding practices. This includes appropriate handling, ingredient sourcing, and documentation. [VERIFY SPECIFIC PROCESSES AND STANDARDS WITH CLIENT]

Labeling and dispensing guidance

Every preparation is dispensed with clear, accurate labeling that includes the medication name, strength, dosage instructions, beyond-use date, and storage requirements. Counseling is provided at the point of dispensing. [VERIFY LABELING STANDARDS WITH CLIENT]

Storage and handling

Compounded medications may have specific storage requirements that differ from commercially available products. These are communicated to patients at dispensing, with written instructions included.

Standards & Compliance

The standards we operate under

ACP Pharmacy operates in accordance with applicable pharmacy regulations and standards. Specific details are listed below and require client verification before publication.

Pharmacy licensing and registration

ACP Pharmacy is licensed and registered to operate as a compounding pharmacy under applicable Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations in Dubai Healthcare City.

Compounding standards

Our compounding practices follow applicable DHA pharmacy regulations and reference USP compounding guidelines for non-sterile (USP <795>) and sterile (USP <797>) preparations as appropriate.

Sterile and non-sterile preparation standards

Where sterile preparations are offered, they are prepared in appropriately controlled environments meeting applicable sterile compounding standards, including environmental monitoring and personnel controls.

Quality assurance program

Our quality assurance program includes documented standard operating procedures, raw material verification, pharmacist oversight of all preparations, beyond-use date assessment, and records retention.

Ingredient sourcing

Active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients are sourced from qualified, GMP-compliant suppliers and verified for identity prior to use.

All standards require verification

No certifications, awards, accreditations, or regulatory claims should be published without direct client confirmation and documentation. The placeholders above will be replaced with verified information before launch.

Responsible Practice

What responsible compounding looks like

Compounding only in response to a valid prescription
Never compounding commercially available products without clinical justification
Communicating honestly about timelines and limitations
Following storage and handling best practices
Providing counseling and guidance at dispensing
Maintaining appropriate documentation
Supporting prescribers with clear communication
Referring patients back to their prescriber when clinical questions arise

Important information about compounded medications

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved (or equivalent) in the same way that commercially manufactured medications are, as they are prepared for individual patients based on specific prescriptions. This means they have not undergone the same standardized testing for safety, efficacy, and consistency as commercially manufactured drugs.

The use of a compounded medication should be a clinical decision made between a patient and their licensed healthcare provider. ACP Pharmacy does not provide medical advice and cannot recommend compounding without a valid prescriber direction.

If you have questions about whether a compounded medication is right for you, please consult your prescriber.
